First stage was one of the strangest online assessments I have ever done, but it was a nice break from your basic numerical / verbal / logical reasoning tests. After this came 2 rounds of interviews, each consisting of an unstructured interview and structured interview. First round of interview was with managers, final round with senior managers. Unstructured interviews involve your basic fit questions, and a free-flowing case study where you are given a single question (in my case, both were market sizing) and you structure your own approach to the case with additional input from the interviewer as you progress. Structured interviews involve a pre-prepared case pack which you are given 10 minutes to look over. First round interviews went well, both interviewers were welcoming, engaged, and seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. The interviewer in the unstructured case asked the basic 'why consulting / why this firm / tell me about a project you worked on' and didn't really push too hard on my answers. Final round went less well. Unstructured interviewer would ask me questions I had already answered ('why our firm?'), maybe trying to trip me up. Final round structured interviewer also pushed back against my answers much more than the first round interviewer had. Curiously, they provide feedback after first round but did not provide any feedback after my unsuccessful final round. I would advise applicants to expect a much tougher style of interview in the final round compared with the first round.
