Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en Strata Forest Products (Santa Ana, CA) en abr 2018

      Entrevista

I was called in for an interview within hours of submitting an application online through a job posting site. The interview was scheduled for that day, or the next day as I recall. It was a very straight forward process. He asked me a few questions about my background and experience. We reviewed my resume and then he stated a couple of "concerns" he had. One of those concerns was actually very valid: he was worried about me being new to the industry, not knowing all the species of wood. The other was totally bogus, he was worried that I didn't speak Spanish well enough. I told him if it came down to it, I could use gestures and communicate that way, if need be. Once the interview was concluded, I was to go get a drug screen and then wait for a call. At the interview, he was rather enthusiastic. When he called me to make the offer, all of a sudden, his tone was totally different and he seemed almost to regret hiring me. At the time, I didn't know what else to think and just figured it was something other than the prospect of bringing on new talent. (Boy, was that dumb of me!) Then, he called me to tell me that he couldn't start me right away as the forklift that I was to use was in the shop. This went on for two or three weeks. Finally, I got a start date and was ready to go. Immediately upon being there, the forklift I was using, did in fact, show signs of trouble. It was leaking oil and water, rather profusely. The functionality of the forklift was hence affected and it caused me much grief to operate in a normal capacity. He could have rented a forklift in the interim thus allowing me an earlier start date, increased familiarity of the species, and best of all, reduced hassle with an malfunctioning forklift. (Some of the wood I handled, got chipped and split as a result of the forklift malfunctioning.) He'd have had the productivity he needed and earlier on, too! This guy was a total fraud!!!

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

He asked me two things: 1.) If I spoke Spanish and, 2) If I could get my own benefits.
