Interviewed with a hr phone screen (Nishant Dhuppad). I have over 5 years in collection processing/debt collection…as well as 10 years of mid-sr level management. After my interview I asked the recruiter if I could answer any questions she had about my experience. She said no and that I surpassed the requirements and she was pushing me forward to the next round. She did ask me my salary requirement and I respectfully declined to answers stating that I rather ensure mutual alignment and salary could be negotiated later on in the process. I could tell she wasn’t happy about me not giving her my range however I did not want to fall for the old bait and switch move that some organizations do. A few days later I was told via email that I don’t fit the qualifications for the role. I honestly was glad it worked out. The benefits are not great for a mid-level manager and the fact that you can’t take a vacation until after 90 days mind boggles me when someone at that level managerial wise at other private organizations receive vacation and sick leave the moment they start without restrictions. If you want to continue in this process be sure to give them your salary requirements. Also note that my interviewer asked me over five times during my interview to complete a survey about the application/interview process. Once I completed the survey, I received the notification that I did not move forward the next day. Kind of fishy. So maybe they are just interviewing to get their ratings up within their metrics.
