I got my job via a strong internal employee referral. At first for a 2-3 weeks nobody called. Then a guy from HR called and did a basic screen. Then after a week talent acquisition send an email to schedule a phone interview. Phone interview was very basic hr screening. Then a phone interview with hiring manager was scheduled after 3 weeks. that went well and was invited for face 2 face the following week. After a week offer was presented. Offer was more than what I had asked for so couldn't complain.
