      The recruiter contacted me to set up a phone screening a few days after I applied. Links were sent to be reviewed from their website, Youtube, LinkedIn and other sources. The interview started off with the recruiter telling me about the organization. I was then asked questions about what attracted me to the organization and which causes interested me /would I be an advocate for. Then there were more questions about what would I do to help change those issues in society. I was only asked TWO questions about my experience working as a researcher. Everything else was about the company. Seems like they aren't concerned about actual related work experience.

We realize these types of questions might seem unusual in a job interview, so we make sure to provide you with pre-reading materials that will help you better understand who we are and our approach to social change. It looks like we could have done a better job of explaining why we were asking you those questions! Our apologies for any frustration this may have caused you and thank you again for sharing your feedback, we'll make sure to let the team know and ask them to spend a bit more time in the initial discussions to provide more insight into our approach.
