      Entrevista

We did a team bonding activity so they could see how we did problem solving. We did it 2x and then they called us back 1 by 1 to privately interview. My interview lasted less than 5 minutes, they said "we really liked what we saw out there and think you'd be a great addition to the team." Then they asked about my availability and said that I would hear from them shortly. That was it. They didn't have my resume in front of them nor did they ask about my prior experiences. There is another review of the interview process and I'm begging you to ask those questions if you ignore all the warnings and apply for this job. You'll be told your a leader and a great addition to the team but if you ever show any sign of leadership among your team you'll be fired for it.

      Entrevista

If you’re are thinking about working at the aquarium, visit as a guest first so you can talk with employees directly who are already working at the position you are applying for. Ask them these questions: How long do people usually stay working at the aquarium, how often do people quit, how many people have quit, and why did they quit? How are guests handled if they harass employees or harm the animals? Can you offer some examples of how difficult guests have behaved, and what the response from management was? How long do you plan on working with the aquarium? What do you like about your job? What do you dislike about your job? What have you gained from working with the aquarium? How does the aquarium compare with other jobs you have had? Do you trust management? Are they transparent in their decision making? Do you believe that they are acting in the best interest of their employees, the animals in their care, and the guests who visit the aquarium? Have they ever lied or misled you? Why should I apply for a job with the aquarium? Why shouldn't I apply for a job with the aquarium? Where else should I apply for a job if I am interested in working with animals or gaining customer service experience? If you take the effort to talk about these questions with multiple employees, then you should be ready to make an informed decision about whether or not you should apply for a job. During your interview, ask your interviewer about opportunities for training, advancement and raises. Ask how employees are trained, and how many employees have received opportunities for additional training. Ask how many employees have advanced to other jobs. Ask if employees have received raises. Ask them what types of interactions they have with employees. Ask them how easy it is to schedule a meeting with them. Ask them how long it takes them to respond to requests from employees for help with guests, questions, and difficult situations. Ask them what they do each day. Ask them where they worked before they began working with the aquarium. Ask them if they had to relocate to work at the aquarium. Ask them if they feel like they have the resources required to do their job. Ask them if they feel supported by upper management. Ask them if upper management micromanages them. Ask them if upper management gives them the authority to do their job.
