I can definitely say the experience had been the best one I had over my entire career.
Interviews are usually one-ways, employer gets the say.
You get ghosted, you get rejection emails that are copy-pasted, sometimes they even get your name wrong... So many stories.
The first interview was a quick chat.
Second interview, or the technical assessment.
I had not done well on the technical assessment and I knew it.
At this point you typically get a rejection email saying bye-bye.
But for SpryPoint they actually call you in.
They ask you to take the questions step-by-step and explain your reasoning.
I actually had gotten one of the questions incorrect, because I misinterpreted the answer choice.
I had a chance to explain that, rather than getting a cold rejection as they see I answered incorrectly.
I felt respected by having a chance to explain my reasoning.
It wasn't a "oh you didn't get 100% then we don't need you" kind of cold emails.
After a few weeks, I got called in for a quick chat.
Knowing that this is a "quick chat" I knew I am not getting an offer.
But it didn't matter.
They were very kind to explain to me the role has been filled with another person, but they really appreciate my time and my efforts.
I almost cried hearing that.
Interviews are a stressful process.
SpryPoint was the only one that I did not feel neither pressured nor stressed out by the whole process.
Everyone was nice, the process was smooth, and I could feel they respect the interviewee.
