This role was described as a fully remote role in the job description. I applied online and had one phone interview. I received a follow up email afterwords and was told that my while background was strong, I would not be considered because the company is looking for someone physically located in one of three specific states (mine not being one of them). The job description should state that the company is only hiring people located in one of the listed states. I am unsure as to why I received an interview in the first place and do not feel like this was a good use of my time or the company's. Overall, not a good candidate experience.
