"Ariana Grande - Ghostin" playing softly in the background I got through four interviews (lasting 45 mins each) with several people in the org. The process was overall good but honestly it was so painful to be ghosted after spending 30+ hours delivering them a business case. During one of the interviews the hiring manager even exposed himself to the point he told me everyone in the panel had "loved" me. Never heard back despite weekly and bi-weekly follow-ups from my end. The lack of professionalism was astonishing!

The people that I dealt with during this process were good, and I felt very positively about the role. However, the process took roughly 2 months and required countless hours of effort toward interview preparation and a take home assignment as well as the use of PTO for interviews. Although I advanced fairly far in the process, my experience was soured by gaps spent waiting in between stages and the culmination of the entire process resulting in an email simply letting me know that I would not be advancing further/receiving an offer. Overall, the process is quite time-consuming and ultimately very asymmetric for applicants if you do not receive an offer. I do not know what the precise solution to this is, but there can certainly be more significant efforts towards valuing applicant's time and efforts.
