A first interview with the Hiring Manager to discuss the company culture and the behaviour questions. At later stage there is a tech interview with two engineers from the team.
The interview process was not bad, except for two things:
1. I think it's already well known by most (and even have several studies proving it) that white board tests don't evaluate candidates; they only evaluate stress. Most of this studies also show that non-white candidates and women are often discriminated in such tests so I wonder why Spotify keep using it.
2. Also, it's important that the Hiring Manager and every body else involved in the process ask questions, but they also let the candidate ask his/her questions. In the end of my interview with the Hiring Manager he basically said: "Well, I have 3 minutes before I need go; do you want to ask me something?" - Well, yea, I have tons of questions, but with only 3 minutes I can barely ask one! It's frustrating that so many companies don't understand that an interview a two-way street and both parties should have equal amount of time to ask questions.
