      One of the worst hiring processes - they have no idea what to look for in a candidate. Almost everything in the process, from start to finish is vague. Avoid applying to this company at all costs. Hiring practices are not transparent. If you are a serious developer - this is not the place for you although they boast about their culture and teams, it is reflected in their poor hiring process. They do not respect your time during the process, and are very unresponsive.

      Avoid applying to this company if possible. They themselves do not know what exactly they are looking for. 1. Firstly round was a call with the recruiter- they told me about the role, team and asked my salary expectations etc. 2. Second round was a call with the hiring manager. We talked in detail about my experience including my current and past experiences. They got a good idea about my skills to decide if those are the skills are looking for. I assumed that if I proceed to the next round, they are fine with my tech skills etc. 3. Third round was a take home assignment which is kind of vague and leaves a lot on you to take assumptions and write the code. They give you 5 days but definitely ask you do a lot of things in the assignment. It is not worth spending your precious hours working on the assignment for free. If I get a similar assignment in any future interviews, I will straightaway reject it if they are not compensating me for my time. 4. After the take home assignment, there was an interview with two team members. The recruiter told me they are going to discuss my submission but they didn't talk about it all. The two interviewers were not organized and they had no idea about what questions to ask. They also seemed disinterested in what I was answering and didn't make any effort to understand what I was saying. It was disappointing to see a general feedback after putting in so much effort. If they were not satisfied with my tech skills, the hiring manager should have just stopped from proceeding to the next round. If they were not satisfied with the take home submission, they should have used the interview to discuss my submission. It was a waste of time and I would suggest you to stay away from them. The interviewers are not prepared with questions and their take-home assignment is time-consuming for no reason.

In our engineering interviews, we have a take-home assignment to get an understanding of the candidate's technical ability. SpotHero then follows that up with a paired interview should the assignment pass our grade. It seems the interview following the take-home is where things went astray and we’re sorry that was not a good experience.       I applied online early February and got a response at the end of March. I had a video interview with the recruiter. Went over some basic behaviorial questions and info on the company. Waited another 2 weeks for them to just say they were going to move forward with another candidate.
