Discovery call with recruiter. Meeting with hiring manager, meeting with two colleagues and vp of function plus final meeting with recruiting manager. Review of cv and experience, competency based questioning, situational questioning
The process is fine I guess, it is just so dragged out and with near zero visibility as to where in the process we are/what next steps will be. After going through several rounds of interviews/submitting my business case/etc. I was told I'm a top contender and we just need another week or so to get back to you. Well, my first interview with HR was in Jan - it's now Mar, and while I asked for an update/called the recruiter weekly, I'm now getting no response. I am asking for an update because I'd love to work for Splunk (I think!), but a couple of other opportunities have come up. I'd likely pass on those, but without knowing where I stand with this position at Splunk it makes it very difficult! I know they are going through a lot of change at the company and it's probably borderline chaotic, however I think it's the decent thing to do to keep your candidates updated.
