You start off with a coding screener - two simple questions that took me < 3 hours to solve. A lot of emphasis is placed on clean code. Then they invite you for a short interview - again 2 questions, simpler than the coding screener - need to answer these in JavaScript. Some discussion around career goals etc. After that, a culture fit interview with the co-founder - I really liked the questions - some are about personal goals and some others about "Talk us through how you've tried to _enjoy the journey_ at your current job"! Then, there's a (slightly nervewracking) interview with the Head of Engineering - a 1 hour coding challenge where we collaborated on implementing a user story in a pre-existing sample codebase. And lastly, if all goes well up until this point, they invite you to a paid mini project which can last for 1-3 weeks where you'll work on implementing a few user stories with other Spidergap team members. They invite you to slack, and set up regular calls - really felt like I was a part of the team and could evaluate how much I'd enjoy working with the others in the team. All in all, a pretty lengthy process, but extremely transparent. They talk to you in great detail about what they're looking for, what your role will be like and so on. Really enjoyed my interview!
