I was approached by a Spiceworks recruiter on LinkedIn. I reached out to her with my resume and cover letter. She seemed very eager and excited to talk so we scheduled an initial phone interview. I was very excited about this opportunity because Spiceworks seemed like such a good opportunity. When on the phone with the recruiter she asked generic questions and wrote them down, never building off my responses. Being very short and lethargic, I was not impressed with her professionalism. When she asked me what questions I had for her I tried to open her up a little bit and get her as enthused as I was, it was unsuccessful. Every answer was a one word response and it seemed as if she was trying to get me off the phone quickly. I know she is just a recruiter and her job is to prospect but to me it seemed like she hated her job and acted as if she was better than me. I did not appreciate the way I was treated, and if she didn't think I was a fit initially then she shouldn't have set up a call with me to waste my time.
