First, I was given a choice between 3 take home assessments, frontend, backend of mobile application. I chose the frontend application. Then, an online interview was setup with a Senior Developer at the company. It was a decent interview but the interviewer showed up 20 minutes late which was weird. Nevertheless, I did not get to the next round of interviews and got a rejection.

After submitting a resume I was got an email one morning asking me to do an assignment in 48 hours from receiving the email. The assignment that took me probably around 24 hours across two days, and you also had to record your final submission and describe technical choices condensed into 5 minutes which was quite a bit of extra work. I was applying for a junior position, and there were bonus requirements you could do but even with throwing in 1-2 bonus requirements, I was completely ghosted after submitting it and got zero feedback for all my time spent on it. This is an awful way to treat applicants. Assignments should only be given after interviews and there weren't interviews here. This is also unfair to those that have less free time. If you happen to have another job you won't have much time to complete something within 2 days.
