I Spoke to someone via video chat for the first interview who was not the hiring manager. Great conversation. He gave me very great feedback and told me to expect a "homework" assessment project. Received project on a Friday to be completed over the weekend. I cancelled all plans and put my all into it and sent it back to HR. Received no reply and a few days later I emailed HR to see if they received it. I later received a generic rejection email. I reached out to the person I interviewed with to see if feedback could be provided thinking It must have been the excel project that I didn't approach correctly. Still have no idea as the reply was that there were more qualified candidates.....not sure why they didn't figure that out before I wasted my time on a project. I would still really like to know real feedback but I guess I never will.
