My interview process was not like most interviews I’ve been a part of. The interview consisted of multiple levels within the position to the job instead of calling out a specific level. That’s fine, I assume that you will be able to prove yourself within the interview(s). Half of the questions were personality based, the other half was technical. However, it wasn’t in depth technical as I expected, more like a general overview. It felt as if the questions limited my ability to expand on my thoughts. I left some answers open to the interviewers on purpose to see if they would dive further into the questioning(they did not). I felt as if I did not portray my best self during the hour long interview. I wasn’t asked to come back for another interview but instead did receive an offer, but declined. They said they would not adjust compensation or consider a higher level position due to their team members being there for x number of years, after previously stating that experience in the position does not mean the same compensation, it’s your ability to produce and contribute.
