Rude, inpersonal, inconsiderate. They clearly didn't care about me as a person and only wanted the paper-perfect candidate. Literally gave me the Elon Musk sales pitch bs. It's a known place to be unapologetically cruel. Weird place to idealize. So many other areospace company's w/o the volatility. I'd stay clear

Entrevista
After submitting an application for the Summer Intern position, I received an email asking to set up a preliminary phone interview. This first call was just to ask some more basic questions about myself such as about my current studies, GPA, if I had any current offers from other companies, what time frame I am available to work, etc. At the end of this interview, another appointment for a phone interview was set up. This time it would be with the Lead Materials Engineer.
The second phone interview started with simple things such as "Tell me more about yourself," "Why do you want to work for SpaceX," and "What makes you stand out compared to other applicants?" After the basic questions, I was asked to describe some challenges I've encountered during work with materials and how I've overcome those obstacles. Some questions were also asked about material properties and methods of nondestructive testing and analysis.
The interview process wasn't anything crazy and the people were very friendly, but you definitely have to be prepared for many questions about your field. I was contacted a week or two later and told another candidate was selected for the position instead. Overall it was a fine experience.
