Applied online and got no response from a recruiter. Scoured the internet to find the email of one the recruiters and told her that I think I am a good candidate for their specific needs and that I had limited time because I had an offer elsewhere. A few days later another recruiter emailed me a C-style debugging quiz. It's not difficult but has some gotchas.
Fast forward a week and the recruiter says I passed. We set up a time to talk over the phone. She never shows up. We reschedule for a few days later and we talk over the phone. I can barely hear her and she's talking about how their office is a mess right now. No kidding. She then asks me some simple systems level programming questions. Questions that range from C++ features to embedded systems to some simple math problems. She immediately says I passed that and the next step would be a talk with an engineer. OK.
After that? Nothing. No emails from the recruiter, no response when I email her. Cool.
Recruiting Call -> Several rounds of technical interview: very fundamental questions that probe your conceptual understanding. Make sure to study / review first principles as it gets theorectical. Quick 30 minute phone calls

I applied for Software Engineer Data position. It was fine. 1 hour leetcode style interview on codility. The difficulty was medium. I had an alright experience. Was able to get brute force but not optimized solution.
Recruiter screen was a lot of trivia, very basic trivia that any software engineer should know so make sure to read up on some python syntax etc. to be able to answer the trivia questions. can be tricky given time limit
