      Entrevista

      Sovos makes you go through a timed, on line personality assessment and fairly easy cognitive assessment prior to advancing you to an interview. At least, that's what they WANT you to think. They set up a Web Ex meeting, then once you are logged on to the meeting, they tell you to go to "ondemandassessments.com" and give you a "key" to start the assessment. They could have done that in an email. So, what is the purpose for the Web Ex meeting? It is so that they can use the web cam to get a good look at you while you complete the assessment. Sure, the reason they will claim they need a web cam is to make sure you don't use dictionaries, calculators, etc. to "cheat" on the assessment. But, that's a red herring. How do I know? I took the assessment this morning. Of course, my web cam was off, and the Sovos HR guy who gave me the url and key for the assessment never asked me to turn it on. Due to a brief interruption, I only finished half the questions. I got a call a from my recruiter a short while later asking me to re-take the assessment. She told me that I was "very close" and they wanted to give me an opportunity to complete the assessment. Of course, I did much better the second time because I had already seen a large number of the questions! This time they asked me turn on my web cam. Within a few minutes, I got an email from my recruiter that said: "They felt that it wasn't the right fit at this time..." You be the judge, but if you are scheduled for the assessment, make sure you have your makeup on, your hair is done with more attention and care than a ponytail, and you are not dressed in your sweat suit.
