      Entrevista

Had a lengthy introductory call with the head of global talent. Call seemed to go very well and at the end in response to my closing question about next steps she was positive in indicating there would be at the least another call with the hiring manager. I don't have an issue with deciding not to move me forward, but what I do have an issue with is ghosting me in my follow up email. I would expect to be treated with a little more professional courtesy, especially given this was a VP level role, and at least take 2 minutes to reply back. If that is the culture that permeates the company then probably it would not have been the best fit.

Hey there. I wanted to start off by apologizing on your experience and feeling neglected. That is never our goal, nor a representation of our company culture. This was an oversight on my end, and I am very sorry about that. Candidate experience is something that I take very, very seriously. I am keenly aware of how often recruiting, as an industry, is criticized for not giving feedback to candidates, and I strive to make sure that we are the exception. As the head of global talent, I spend a substantial amount of time talking to my teams around the world about the importance of timely follow up. That is something that applies to all our roles, not just the senior ones. We have automated processes where we can, but there are circumstances where automaton is not the best way to provide information. That is where mistakes can happen, as it did here. I will continue to work to improve our feedback processes and I appreciate you holding me accountable.
