      Very positive initially. Responsive, helpful recruiter. Same assessments and video interview others have reported. After that, multiple phone interviews with people in other offices around the country. One of them was kind and engaging, but didn't seem to know what to do with this position--no vision or direction for it. The other was abrasive, admitting he was looking for "talent, not experience." All of this happened within two weeks of my initial application. After that, as others have also reported, all communications dropped off. Despite promises of speedy status updates, I heard nothing after the final interview. Eventually the position was reposted and two more weeks passed before I received any sort of response to my requests for an official confirmation of my status. Even that was a form letter that thanked me for the time I "spent coming into the office to meet with them," even though all of my interviews were done remotely. I also received no response to my request for feedback on why I was passed over so that I could make improvements for future job applications. An initially pleasant experience that ultimately soured and left me grateful the company decided to pursue other candidates.

      Entrevista

      Applied online. Got an email a few days later requesting to take an online aptitude test, which I did. Then got another email requesting to take the aptitude test again in the presence of the recruiter, followed by a brief on camera interview. Then...ghosted. Never heard anything back. Such lack of response is a very poor candidate experience.

I totally understand how a lack of response could leave a sour taste in your mouth and impact candidate experience. Last year, over 20,000 candidates applied for roles at Sovos. Our goal is to provide follow up to each and every one of those people - but we run a lean recruiting team and we are human, so sometimes we drop the ball.       I didn't have a negative experience with any person in particular, but I did not appreciate their interview process. I applied to a job and almost immediately got a response back asking me to take the personality/aptitude test. I was impressed with their quick response. Personally, I hate these tests. I feel if someone wants to get to know my personality, then talk to me. Don't analyze a test. Anyway, I spent about a half hour taking the test and immediately got a follow up to do a one hour phone interview with HR and to retake the test on camera so they could ensure that it was truly me taking it in the first place! While again they were quick to respond, at that point, I felt disrespected and started to get the feeling that if they couldn't trust I wouldn't cheat on a personality test, how could they trust me to do my job? If they wanted someone to monitor the test, why have me do it in the first place and just skip to the phone interview? In the end, it just didn't seem like my type of company culture so I had decided to move on and look for another opportunity.

      Did the online assessment and four interviews and then never heard another word. Disappointing experience. Plus, it was reinforced that Sovos hires "high potential, low experience" so if you are an experienced professional, it may not make sense to waste time interviewing here.
