I interviewed at a University CO-OP fair. They had an two person panel interview me for about 25 minutes, and that evening was selected for a follow up phone interview, which i did about two weeks later. The phone interview was from Birmingham, and included someone in Civil Engineering leadership, a HR rep, and a current CO-OP student. The original two person interview was very good, and the representatives were very kind and I genuinely felt like they wanted me to do well. However, the phone interview was more difficult, and while they asked similar questions, they seemed more interested in being done with the interview, which makes me feel like they had already selected a person for the position and my interview was simply a formality. That being said, I was highly impressed with their recruiter, as she answered every email I wrote her within an hour and contained very helpful information. Additionally, all five people I talked to had taken time to look at my resume, preference sheet, and written answers to some questions for the CO-OP fair.
