The process was pretty straightforward. I had a call with the recruiter before I moved on to meet on Zoom with a panel of 5 staff (which was a bit overkill, I think). The last stage was a Zoom interview with the director of the department. I received good communication from the recruiter at each stage. The entire process took less than 4 weeks and I received an offer during the 5th week.

The goal of the panel interview is to ensure fairness and a range of perspectives so that both the candidate and Solidarity Center are fully comfortable in moving ahead. We typically put 3-4 interviewers on a panel - five is the top limit - but will certainly take your input to heart the next time we're hiring.

Considering the specific scope of Solidarity Center, interviews for Program Officer position will happen in at least two stages: one for both parts presentation and some sort of test in english (in case it's not a US-based person), the second will try to cover the candidate's knowledge on unionism and labor rights in the country they're applying to.
