I applied online and shortly afterwards received an invite to interview with an HR person. The interview was cordial, but she did most of the talking and had a habit of explaining my own answers. The video meeting was going in and out and sound was highly distorted. She had mentioned that other candidates were having the same issue. I was then invited to a 2nd interview, this time with the hiring manager. He came across as arrogant and aloof, I don’t think he likes working with older candidates. Additionally, he didn’t come across as being experienced. Again, the meeting was distorted and was going in and out, I have never had this time of issue with any other video conferencing software. Overall, the people involved with the hiring journey, particularly the hiring manager left me with a bad impression about the company, especially when you feel there is ageism. I would never want to have a 401k plan managed by this firm and would never want to work for a company that uses Slavik401k to manage their company 401k.
