I was actively looking for a new job and was already after bunch of 2nd & 3rd rounds of interviews when I was contacted by internal recruiter from Slalom Phoenix via LinkedIn. I responded to the message and agreed to meet with him for cup of coffee to discuss a Consultant opportunity in details next day. I followed up via email with attached resume and cover letter in the evening - That's Day 1. Before the meeting, I was asked if I can also meet with the practice leader afterwards. I said okay and location was changed to the Slalom office in Scottsdale where interview was unexpectedly to me expanded to 4 hours with 4 different people - That's Day 2. I must say I was exhausted when I left the Slalom office. On the morning of Day 3, I was requested to do an additional 1h tech screen which I did with tech lead and got a job offer same day. Since I had other job offers pending approval, I took a bit of time to decide, especially since they were moving with me really fast. I have done a lot of research on Slalom as a company in general (online and by ear) and finally decided to accept an offer as I was looking for opportunity to grow horizontally (not vertically) in a dynamic environment. That was my number 1 priority. Also, the concept of local consulting model at Slalom made my decision easier... Overall, very good and unique experience, sharp people, super professional approach, great company that has not disappointed me yet. When it comes to the acquisition and interview process, I have been very impressed...
