Submitted resume then did preliminary phone call with HR assistant. Very cold conversation, had no idea if I’d hear from them again. Received a call a few days later from same person for screening, then another to schedule interview. Slightly warmer in tone, but not by much. Day of interview I arrive about 15 minutes early. Same person I spoke to on the phone comes to greet me some time later with no warmth whatsoever. 35 minutes later, which is now 20 minutes after my scheduled interview I finally get called into a room only to meet 1/2 of the people I was told I would meet with. No apology for the delay, no explanation for the missing people. I felt interview went fairly well, but not great. None of the people I interviewed with offered their business card (and I forgot to ask, I was thrown off by the whole process). I followed up no less than 3 times with the HR asst I first spoke with (phone and email) with zero response. I understand if I’m not the right fit for the office or team, but I found everyone I interacted with to be very unprofessional. In my extensive career years I have had a few no’s, but I have never had someone completely ignore my efforts at following up after an interview.
