The interview process at Singer Vehicle Design in 2023 followed a typical structure: an initial phone screen with HR, followed by a Zoom interview with the hiring manager, and then an onsite interview with the team and the hiring manager. However, during my interview, I learned that a candidate had already been selected for the role, but this had not been communicated to HR. As a result, I progressed through the process unnecessarily. This miscommunication could have been avoided with better internal coordination and left me with the impression that the company lacked transparency and alignment across teams. It’s worth noting this was the process at the time, and it may have since changed.
