Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 1 semana. Acudí a una entrevista en Simpro (Brisbane)

      Entrevista

A quick response to the online application and interview schedule for Friday afternoon. Not recommended for others as the two 'senior' interviewers were distracted, checking emails and mobiles going off. Both more keen to head off for a 'gin and tonic' than to focus on the information they wanted to share or on finding out about me as an applicant. The interview was held in a small, cluttered room with me perched at the end of a table looking straight into a blank monitor (might as well have been a mirror). Only one interview question was asked and it was after my prompting on change management. I was advised I'd be notified of the next steps as early as the following Monday but instead received a generic email from SEEK advising application not progressing. This was the right decision, I am not the right person for this role, but this disappointingly unprofessional interview process isn't expected from a global tech company.

Now that you've mentioned resistance to change, how do you deal with that?

Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Simpro en may 2022

      Entrevista

It was an interesting interview to say the least. Apart from the usual Q&As that is asked in the interview process, I was asked to do what I would be doing day to day if I was to be hired; I had to run an implementation for my interviewer using the company software.

Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Simpro (Broomfield, CO) en jun 2019

      Entrevista

The company had 4 openings for this role across the US. They started with a phone screen and then follow up video chat interviews. I was selected as a finalist and they flew all 4 finalists into CO for a day off group and individual interviews. We each interviewed with 11 people from the company of about 35 local employees over 8 hours. We were given the task of presenting to them a customer training scenario. To prep for this they gave us two links to learn from in their help system. One of the links was a video tutorial that offered a 404 error. They told us this was intentional but was a major red flag that their production customer facing help desk had broken links. (It still does a month later) Also complicating the interview process was that we never interviewed the hiring manager until we went to CO. This was in part because they had just fired the previous manager during the process, yet were not comfortable enough to let the new manager interview without an HR person in the room. They sold us a dog and pony show about how difficult the job is and how badly they need candidates like us to come in and help while promoting buzz words like "transparent and ethical". Well it turns out most of us or all of us in the room were never extended an offer. They had other finalists we were not told about. This was after telling us they were doing a group interview to see how we work together. Seems very counter to the way they claimed to conduct themselves. They also had "health benefits" that still required 100's-1000's per month of your own money for more than catastrophic coverage. We were also told that for this 75% travel job we would not have a company credit card and need to pay most expenses up front and get reimbursed. If they had extended an offer I likely would have accepted, but I'm actually glad I was able to move on after seeing how they really conduct themselves. In my opinion this company needs to figure out who they really are, who they want to employ and hire an outside expert to reduce their recruiting costs and quit wasting everyone's time. And have a developer fix their broken site.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to hear the experience and outcome of your visit with us in Broomfield did not meet your expectation. simPRO and our candidates have always found a visit to our office a rewarding experience. The visit to our CO office is the final step in our hiring process and is primarily designed to determine a 2-way culture fit. If an offer is not made to any candidate post a visit to CO, culture fit is the reason. Thank you for expressing your opinion. We will bear your points in mind as we continue to build our talent pool. I wish you all the very best in your career search. Glenn Nott (simPRO US President)
