Applied online, got an email to set up a call. Set it up and spoke with hiring manager via phone call. Call went well, questions about experience, role and company overview. Was told I will hear back by a certain date. Did not hear back on that date, so I followed up the following day. Heard back later that day as a reply back to my email, stating they went with another candidate. I emailed back asking for feedback, since on the call it sounded promising, but have not heard any feedback as to why.
