The first interview had good questions, and the guy seemed like someone I could work with. The on-site interview was my least pleasant interview ever. The group challenge didn't make any sense. By the end of it, I realized all they wanted us to do was say why Siemens was awesome. It had nothing to do with engineering or problem solving. Then I had to do a series of one-on-one interviews. They were all behavioral questions and they were pretty much the same questions over and over with a different spin. Nothing about the interviews gave me openings to show how perfect I was for the job or how much I knew about the company. The worst part was when they asked me what salary I was expecting. I mentioned what my friends were getting in my answer, and the interviewer proceeded to tell me that my friends were lying and no entry-level engineer makes that much. The offer I accepted (different global and highly successful company) gave me almost $10,000 higher than the salary I told Siemens.
