I did not qualify for that role, but the interview process was mainly focused on troubleshooting and maintenance related to locomotive rail systems.
All interview rounds were conducted virtually. The first round was with HR and focused on candidate screening. The second round was with the Program Manager, and the third round was with three team supervisors, where the discussion was more technical and role-specific.

I saw the advert initially on a recruitment website, but then went on to Siemens' own website and applied directly through their HR Department. I received a phone call a week or 2 later in regard to attending a medical and drug & alcohol test, which was scheduled for a few days later. I took the medical and DnA test and then about a week later I was again phoned for an interview, which was scheduled for approximately a week later.
The interview was with 2 people, the Production Manager and a Shift Supervisor.
I was asked questions about Siemens and its origins, what projects it had and where and about the work I had done previously, especially the work job I was leaving, and why I was leaving. I was asked to talk about myself, my training and career up to that date and what I hoped to achieve. The interview was in the region of an hour, maybe a little longer.
After the interview I was given a 90 minute technical test, both mechanical and electrical, covering electrical principles, mechanical comprehension, systems comprehension. Following the completeion of the test I was shown around the depot, the various parts and sections and then that was the end of the process. In all I would say about 3 hours from the start.
