I had two calls with managers. Casual conversation. I asked during both interviews what the salary range was and was met with uncomfortable silence. I was told by both managers that they do not discuss that on the interviews. I was then passed on to the 3rd round which was an assignment. I respectfully asked if I could be given a salary range before I complete the assignment to know if the job aligned with my needs. I was ghosted from that point forward. I think it is a big red flag to avoid discussing salary especially at the 3rd round stage. It was disappointing to me because I was excited about the job. I did not press any further because a company that does not want to be transparent about salary is not a company I want to work for.
