Summary: DO WASTE YOUR TIME APPLYING or INTERVIEWING.
I applied for the job, reached out to the person who previously held the position and interviewed then. I then researched the details of the company, researched the people that I would be having an interview with. I then prepped for the interview by collecting example stories from my career that would be relevant to the position during the interview.
There was probably 5-6 hours or prep work, applying, research and interviewing former employees on my behalf before attending the interview.
The interview went well, we had a laugh and I answered all of their questions and asked them several that I had prepared in advance.
A week after the interview I reached out to the HR representative to see if they would like to move forward with the process and got no response. I called the HR representative two weeks later and left a message, no response.
Basically I prepared for an interview for 5-6 hours, treated them with respect, organized my time around attending the interview and in return I was completely ghosted with no response not even a rejection statement.
This sort of HR practice is frankly disgusting, rude, inconsiderate and plain old crappy. There is no reason that I should treat a group of people with respect, take my time to attend a meeting and then simply be ignored and ghosted without any response.
There is nothing more disappointing than not even doing your basic job as an HR person. Communication is the basic job of an HR person, just to be clear.
I would highly recommend that you do not waste your time preparing for an application to this company in Fort Saskatchewan and that you invest your valuable time in more productive manners.
This was a huge waste of my time as the communication turned out to be useless and pointless. This frankly makes me sad that this is the type of treatment people get when they apply to companies like this.
