Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 6 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Shell en ene 2014
Entrevista
I am a health and safety recent grad (masters). I applied on-line in January 2014. By the end of the month I completed three on-line assessments: 2 general questionnaires that were not timed and 1 timed numeracy test, which I found rather difficult because of the time pressure. An e-mail confirmed that I passed this stage and that I would be contacted for the next step in “due time”. Then there was the wait – sometime during May I tried contacting the Recruitment department but I was ignored; LinkedIn comments during various “discover us” events were also ignored. In my mind I was thinking I was waiting a line of some sort but then by late July (6 months later) I received a standard rejection letter. And to add to my sorrow, one week after a health and safety position was posted for Fort Mac requiring minimum 2yrs of experience and my application was rejected the following day.

Timed numeracy test - lots of numbers, tables and graphs but very little time. Same test regardless of your background. Impossible to pass if you are not good with numbers.

The interview process focses on behavioral assessments and technical screenings. Candidates are tested on the "CAR" method, focusing on safety, leadership, and on job competence through structured and in depth questions.
The first round is a recorded video interview. You need to record some videos based on their questions. There were 3 questions or me, which is not very unique. About your project, your interest in Shell.
I recently completed a video interview on HireVue, and the overall experience was pretty interesting. The platform presented a large number of psychological assessment questions along with several prompts focused on workplace morality and ethical decision-making. I appreciated that HireVue allowed unlimited time to record and re-record my video responses, which took a lot of the pressure off and made the process feel more flexible and less rushed.
Each portion of the interview was fairly in-depth and required thoughtful answers, so it ended up taking around 30 minutes per section. The combination of the structured assessments and the freedom to redo videos made the entire interview feel thorough but manageable.
