Overall interview was okay. The executive director Maricela did not give a good impression with the kinds of questions asked and it felt like she was trying to weed out candidates instead of actually hearing about how they can help with the mission of the organization. Very much a cold interview and I could see why there are so many complaints about the work culture and how the executive director , Maricela Gutierrez treats her staff. Good for practice though but very weird vibes from the organization and director
I was ghosted after the second interview and see this organization and it’s director unprofessional as a result

They started with a phone screening. Once you pass the screen, you are asked to come for a practice interview. They assign you a couple of tasks (eg draft an immigration oriented one pager and write a PowerPoint presentation and do said presentation on a key issue). There is also a Q&A session to test your knowledge on the issues.
I “made it” to the second round of interviews, but they only offered one date and time for me to come in. I made it clear in the previous interview that I had other obligations that I took seriously. When the single option for an interview clashed with this obligation, I responded with a number of date and time options that they could select from. I also offered to allow them to choose a better date/time if needed.
For the second round of interviews, they ghosted on me. Offered the chance to come in and then did not respond when I requested a different schedule, offering plenty of flexibility to meet any possible demand.
In light of this, I call in to question their professionalism.
