      Recently, I completed all interview rounds at a company called ServiceTitan for a senior product role. The process included five individual 45-min interviews and a 90-min case study that I presented to a panel of five people. The case study took place after the first two rounds. Following those initial interviews, they actually elevated the role to Principal Product based on my experience. However, after completing every stage, I was ultimately rejected with the explanation that my “working style does not match”—which was surprising, because how can they truly know my working style without ever having worked with me? To add to the confusion, after the final round the recruiter asked for more time, saying the hiring manager was on leave for a week, but then sent a rejection email before the end of that same week.

      Entrevista

      3 weeks between interviews means a lot of lost momentum on both sides. The first 2 rounds they were really excited and happy and pumping me up. The 3rd round they were super tough. Totally imbalanced. They should have been tougher earlier on — the people who are really picky and are jerks should be earlier on in the process. It is a much more efficient process that way. Company too large. The benefit of a platform team that serves other teams is hard to measure. Especially for a team/customer (ie a developer) that doesn’t want to be measured in any way, shape, or form. They pushed me too hard to answer questions that they should have answered already. Finally, 3 vs 1 is a crappy way interview format.
