I applied in December 2021 and started the interview process in January of 2022. My encounters during this process were concerning because they were not in line with the culture that I believed ServiceNow had.
I do not know what is happening internally for ServiceNow or in my recruiter's personal life, so I do want to extend some grace here. I also firmly believe that no candidate should have to experience a recruiter being a no-show to multiple scheduled calls, missing multiple follow up deadlines, and being unresponsive to emails/questions.
January 12th I had my Zoom interview with the hiring manager
January 20th my recruiter told me "I will follow up with you later next week with an update." The end of the following week came and I did not hear back so I followed up on February 4th.
On February 9th my recruiter told me "I will plan to follow up with you toward the end of next week." Again, the end of the following week came and I did not hear back so I followed up on March 1st.
I did not receive any response, so I followed up again on March 8th. My recruiter told me "Let’s plan to talk on Wednesday if you have a minute." The message was sent at 3am EST on Wednesday morning, so I responded asking for clarity on if he wanted to speak this Wednesday or next Wednesday and agreed to be available. I did not hear back on my question; both Wednesdays passed and I did not receive a call.
On March 16th my recruiter told me "I have another position I would like to talk with you about. I will send another email with the job description for that one. Let’s plan to talk on Thursday or Friday this week". I agreed to be available. Thursday and Friday passed and I did not hear from my recruiter.
I then reached out to a Director level HR representative about my experience on March 23rd. That person got in touch with my recruiter, which led to me finally learning that they were no longer hiring due to budget changes.
