Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó más de 5 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Seeking Alpha (United States Coast Guard - Air Station Sacramento)

Decent, thorough and must be a solid time as well. This was the way that it worked and I think that it worked well. I think that this issue worked well also, I do.
The interview process was quite unorganized and time-consuming, in my opinion. First, I was reached out by a TL who took 2 very lengthy live tests, one written and one verbally on video call. He said he liked my test but the salary expectations didn't meet their budget. So he referred me to another team for a senior position. The new TL again took some lengthy tests (purely editing related, however during the video call 3 TLs/managers started bombarding me with finance-related questions (more relevant to research the team).
The process seemed like a waste of time for several reasons.
1. TLs kept reaching out directly by sending tests without providing any clarity or context. It also didn't make sense that they would discuss salary after such lengthy tests rather than beforehand.
2. HR came into the picture much later, and since all communication with TLs was only on email, there was really no clarity about what they are even expecting before you join the interview call.
3. The video call interview was in no way aligned with the type of tests they gave. Seemed like they were more concerned about getting multiple skills from one specific designation instead of focusing on their niche expertise.
Luckily, after reading the comments on former employees' experience, I think I dodged a bullet with this one.
