Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Sears en jun 2010
Entrevista
After completing the online application, I signed up for an in-person in-store interview with an exact date and time on the computer. I showed up to the store early to the HR office only to discover that they had no record of my interview. I was told that they only look into the system when the have openings, which it turns out they did. So anyway, after 30 minutes I was sent home to come back in 2 days. The next time I came in at my scheduled time and was told that my interviewer had actually just gone on her lunch break, despite full well knowing I had an interview during that time. 45 minutes later we had a pretty standard interview, and was told to come back one more time to meet with the store manager. When I came back the next day at the arranged time, the store manager was in a conference call. Another 45 minutes later I met with an assistant manager who thought a little bit too much of himself after he gave me his complete life story in retail. Nevertheless, he decided to make the decision to hire me, so I went off for the drug test a few days later and started training on the computer the next week. Overall, the process was very unprofessional, especially given the cursing I overheard by the career employees.
Took like 20 mins. Very easy but questions seemed random. It also seemed like management had no idea they had interviews scheduled cuz there were several of us waiting for a long time
The interview process can vary depending on the company and position, but here’s a general idea of what to expect:
1. Application Review: After applying, they’ll review your resume. If they’re interested, you’ll get a call or email to set up an interview.
2. Phone/Video Interview: A lot of places do an initial screening over the phone or via video call. They’ll ask about your background, why you're interested in the job, and how your skills fit the role. It’s usually a casual chat, but make sure to prepare by knowing the company and job description.
3. In-Person Interview: If you pass the initial screening
Fill application form to apply and wait few days before submitting it to the company. Had to provide personal documents and references from previous employers. Initially was interviewed on a phone.
