      Entrevista

After applying online, I received a phone interview with the basic "what are you looking for?" ; "why Sears?" type of questions. This was then followed up with two in-person interviews, each time meeting with several different managers. The verbal job offer, with followup written offer, followed. Most questions during the one-one interviews were behavioral based...."Tell me about a time? How did you address it? What was the outcome? What did you learn? How did you apply those learnings to a new situation?"

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

Nothing out of the ordinary. Just be prepared with very specific examples of what you have done (not what you would do). They want to know your thought process and approach.

      Entrevista

I showed up for a scheduled interview. The person at the desk had no idea I was coming and asked repeated questions about why I was there, who I was to interview with, what time the interview was for, and did I have a confirmation email. I pulled the confirmation up on my phone and showed her all the information. She then had me sit across from her while she fiddled with her computer. After about 10 minutes she asked if I was sure the appointment was for that day and time (I'm wondering if she even remembers that I just showed her all that on my phone). She left and went into the offices, presumably to speak with the person I was supposed to interview with. After another 10 minutes goes by she asks for my resume, which I'd submitted with my application, and shows me into a small room with 2 chairs and a table. I sat at the table for another half hour before the same woman comes in to interview me.This was a painful experience because it was obvious she had rarely or never done this before. Even though I had just given her my resume, she obviously didn't even glance at it because she was asking where I worked previously, how long I was employed there, and what were my responsibilities. All these things she would have known if she had taken that half hour to prepare herself.

None of the questions were difficult at all. I am very used to interviewing people myself. The difficult part was being interviewed by someone who was trying to think up questions to ask me. She could have come in with a list of questions and expanded on them to make herself sound more credible. She had 30 minutes to compose herself while I sat in that room!
