The interview process is like a walk-in. You will get calls from consultants and get a place and time to come for interview. After reaching the place, I had to wait for about 2 hours before the interview started. Once the interview started, the interview directly started asking all theoretical questions like what a hasp map is, what a priority queue is etc.. Then 2 questions on strings followed that I was required to write code for and then a question on threads.
Problems:
1. Interviewer did not make a handshake or mention his name.
2. Waiting time of 2-3 hours after reaching the venue at the appointment time.
3. When I asked interviewer why this opportunity is a Work from Home one, he says our teams don't want to go to office. What kind of logic is that?
4. When I asked what you work on, he told me we have all teams, front End , Backend, Machine Learning etc.
5. When I asked interviewer if Sears is looking into anything else other than retail, he said no and for more details I should check out the website.
Overall, the interviewer was taking too many interviews in one day and did not care for the questions the candidates have for him. All his answers were one-liners. That's the problem with any walk-in I guess. But it should NOT happen when you interview for a senior position.
