Unfortunately HR were very unhelpful at providing constructive interview feedback afterwards, which is disappointing as I'd expect more transparency from a state-funded organisation. Overall, the organisation seems to value high level of academic qualifications (which aren't required criteria in job spec), over years of practical experience in the field.
