The interview process is very thorough at SEL. It was by far the most involved interview process I have had in 20+ interviews throughout my career, but one definitely gets the sense that there is a very particular purpose. In most of my previous interviews, one's knowledge was the major, if not, complete focus of the interview and typically those lasted about 2 to 4 hours. At SEL, they make a point of both assessing one's technical knowledge as well as ones cultural fit within the organization. I would like to say, after having gone through this process and working at SEL for over two years, I truly understand the value of their interviewing techniques. This is hands down the best company I have ever worked for and I appreciate that they care enough about the company to ensure they are only hiring individuals who improve the company in more ways that just knowledge. It reminds me of that quote from the movie Miracle: "I'm not looking for the best players, Craig. I'm looking for the right ones."
