The hiring manager posted about the role on LinkedIn and asked anyone interested to message her. So, I did and she asked for my resume. She then connected me with a recruiter for an interview and also gave me her cell and said she’d like me to call her in a few days. I called the hiring manager at the time she requested but she didn’t answer so I left a voicemail. I never heard from her again. Meanwhile, the recruiter did interview me, but told me she believed the role was close to being filled. That made no sense given the timing of the hiring manager’s post. Anyway, the recruiter spent 30 minutes hearing my experience and said I’d hear back in a few days. I never heard from her again.
