      Entrevista

      1 Recruiter Phone Screen, 1 Phone Round with Hiring Manager, 1 Onsite Round with Design Lead and 2 Product VPs and Chief of Staff. The recruiter seemed to be a glorified sourcer and struggled to get things scheduled timely and relay feedback to continue the process. Do not expect any partnership on that front. The Hiring process was a poorly calibrated experience. There were clearly no specific types of questions that were given to approximate depth in X competency (e.g. Google evaluates on product sense, analytical, creativity, etc). The hiring panel also didn't come from that FAANG pedigree of workplace so don't expect that much thought behind the recruiting process. The questions were pretty random just probing on various projects from my background. There were only 1-3 more insightful questions about where is the TV industry going, where should we focus as a platform, even though ironically they haven't moved much at all since 2012 in that regard. The Mountain View office mostly carries out Korea HQ's will and much hasn't happened beyond some advertising plays so be prepared for some enterprise-ish questions. They seem to care more about personality fit and being able to stand your ground if you don't have the immediate TV experience (ironically the predecessor who came from Roku didn't have much impact) so be prepared with basic knowledge on the streaming vertical. Many other plays in the SF Bay Area haven't panned out for Samsung (e.g. Milk) so be prepared to have conviction behind one direction for the company and how you can build consensus.
