Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 6 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Safic-Alcan (Warrington, North West England, England) en jun 2025
Entrevista
First stage was an online Microsoft Teams interview. Second stage was an in person interview where I had to do a 10 minute presentation. The interview went well. They just seemed to rush and pressure me in my decision making. The recruiter told me that as the person who was hiring was new to the company, they wanted someone quick to support her. Salary offer was low in comparison to what others earn in this billion pound company. I tried to negotiate a higher salary as I had another company that was offering me a higher salary but they simply texted the recruiter saying “Just to let you know that we won’t be pursing (name) for this role”, they didn’t even bother trying to talk to me about the offer or asked me if I wanted to speak to them and see if I would take the job even though the salary was on the lower side. Getting rid of the offer from a potential candidate that they all specifically chose was not a great impression of them. I never got to speak to the manager as the recruiter was just in the middle of us two communicating back and forth. I had already told this company (Safic-Alcan) that I had an offer from another company that was waiting for me to answer. The audacity for Safic-Alcan to quickly take this offer away within a few days and they knew that I had another offer waiting for me speaks volumes about the company. I was waiting for an interview with this company for ages. The overall process took about 4-6 weeks. It took ages for me to hear back after my first initial call with the recruiter. Speed up your interviewing process and surely you won’t lose candidates or their interest - easy maths. The interviewers said that they were interviewing in between travelling which was not ideal. I had to wait for their schedules. The recruiter even told me that they only had 6 applications and the hiring manager asked why, the recruiter said to the hiring manager “it’s because it’s a lower salary than expected and due to the cost of living, it’s not exactly a lot to be working with”. Also a note to say that this role didn’t earn commission despite being a sales role. In order to progress into an External Sales role, it would take roughly 2+ years with this company.
