The interview process was easy. I was signed up through Indeed. The Safeway employer asked a few questions. We talked a bit. The job was not a right fit for me. They only guarantee you 20 hours a week.

It was an easy and quick interview. We talked about previous experience and why I would want to work there. I was interviewed by the store manager right when I applied.

They are lying about competitive pay and available positions. The posting for the night crew is just there to get people to apply and then tell them “oops it’s taken, but we got other spots” while the listing never goes down. The competitive pay claim is all over the baker and other listings, as well as the actual application process, but transitioning from a different grocery store as a trained professional i was told they can still only give me 17/hr and never heard of no competitive pay claims ever. Just walked right out the interview then and there, turned out i wasn’t the only one that day., save yourselves some time
