Very simple, just asked for basic information like name, other personal information, availability, which department I wanted to work in, etc. There was only one question. What items would you recommend to a customer for a kids birthday?

Applied online, was called in for an interview, was a one-on-one interview with the woman in charge of hiring. Questions were standard, we interviewed in the break room, and she was very pleasant/relatable. Took them about five days to get back to me, only had to have one interview. The only real downside to the process was dealing with Safeway's terrible online software to complete the hiring process.

very straightforward sit down with manager or assistant manager, typically in the office or at the cafe if present. Series of questions and responses. Mostly what if's and minimal prior experience necessary.
