I received a short notice request for a first interview that was in person with no indication that I would be reimbursed for my travels. I replied and said well I'm living several states away and I wouldn't be able to attend a person or short notice can we do a virtual. I got a reply within 24 hours saying oh no it must be in person and there aren't any other dates available and good luck on your job search. Most of the interviews with this company first interview is in virtually especially after covid so I'm not sure why they thought in person for the first interview one makes sense especially when you have candidates from All over America applying for these positions.
